01 · Existing product
An established dealership SaaS platform used daily across RV, automotive, powersports and marine dealer networks for operations, marketing performance and customer follow-up.
02 · Problem
The platform had to keep modernizing for existing customers while dealers ran their day on it, with performance data spread across disconnected dashboards.
03 · Constraints
The platform had to keep evolving for its existing customers. New capability could not arrive as a rewrite, and no release could interrupt the workflows dealers run their day on.
04 · Why it was hard
Dealer operations differ by category and by location, so reporting, appointments and recommendations all had to respect real operating detail carried in years of accumulated product logic and integrations.
05 · AI capability added
Product evolution across dealership workflows, appointments, reporting, consolidated performance data and customer intelligence, delivered inside the portal the dealer network already uses.
06 · How we shipped it
Incrementally, alongside the existing product team, changing only what each capability required and keeping the core platform stable throughout a multi-year engagement.
07 · Datics role
Embedded product engineering pod: modernization of workflows, reporting and data consolidation, delivered release by release next to the client's own team.
08 · Outcome
Dealers see where activity converts and act on it inside one product instead of several disconnected dashboards, on a platform that kept modernizing without a rebuild.
09 · What came next
The modernized data and workflow surface is what intelligent capability can now be built onto, rather than beside.
