Rana Umar Majeed is the co-founder and CTO of Datics AI, with more than 14 years across software engineering, AI and machine learning, cloud platforms, distributed systems, data architecture and cybersecurity. He leads the architecture of AI-native and cloud platforms for enterprise customers, with a focus on brownfield AI: making established products AI-native without rebuilding the core, while keeping their permissions, security rules, user roles, APIs, workflows and business logic intact.
He designs agentic systems with orchestration, persistent state, governed tool use, human oversight, retries, idempotency and observability. He wrote the AWS Strands Agents integration for the open-source AG-UI protocol, working with the CopilotKit and AWS Strands teams, so Strands agents can run inside full-stack applications.
Earlier, he was a Product Chief Architect in the ESW Capital and Crossover ecosystem, moving acquired SaaS products onto standardized cloud and Kubernetes platforms, and a Data Scientist and Engineering Lead at Ebryx, working on machine learning, anomaly detection and cybersecurity.
